The third and final cohort of No Barriers Here© ICER workshops took place during August with a South Asian women’s group. Participants engaged in meaningful conversations and expressed their choices and wishes for end of life using arts-based methods. The workshops, facilitated by Dr Jed Jerwood and Gemma Allen, took place in a local community centre and even included a visit to the group’s allotment demonstrating advance care planning conversations can take place anywhere!
Community Development worker, Elisha Frimpong, spent a poignant day at Dudley Archives with Sampad Arts for South Asian Heritage Month as part of their exhibition portraying journeys of migration and settlement. The exhibition featured photography and personal stories with images from the archives at Birmingham Library.
